🛢️ Crane Catastrophe: The drama unfolded when a crane on this tanker inflicted severe damage to the arms of the Haldia oil jetty. Startled by the legal storm brewing, reports indicate that the tanker was attempting to make a hasty exit from the dock to evade its legal responsibilities.

⚖️ Maritime Legal Framework: The legal maneuvers in this case are governed by the Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Act of 2017. Under this legislation, the arrest of a vessel involves its seizure as per the High Court's orders to secure any maritime claim, including the detention of the vessel.
